The Feichtlehnerhof is the perfect starting point for your summer in the mountains. With us, holiday happiness begins right on our doorstep: beautiful hiking trails await at the foot of the Dachstein – from leisurely walks through alpine pastures to truly spectacular summit tours. Whether you prefer to take it easy or like to rack up the altitude metres, everyone will find their favourite route here.
A real highlight, especially for families: the Schladming-Dachstein Summer Card is included (at the Feichtlehnerhof). This allows you to use many mountain railways, toll roads and public transport free of charge and discover the region with ease. Whether it's a dip in a swimming lake, a trip to the Dachstein glacier or simply enjoying nature – Styria shows itself from its most beautiful side here. Mountain biking
From Ramsau, you can go on wonderful bike rides with fantastic mountain scenery. Whether you're looking for leisurely rides to alpine pastures or more challenging tours, you'll find just the right thing for you here. Whether you prefer mountain biking or e-bikes, you can expect varied routes and great places to stop for refreshments and enjoy regional delicacies after your tour. Here are a few examples: the long Ramsau-Filzmoos loop or the challenging Stornalm loop are highly recommended.
Hiking in the Schladming-Dachstein region
Those who enjoy hiking are spoilt for choice. Our favourite routes near the Dachstein and our house are the Jungfrauensteig and Roseggersteig, which lead to the Brandalm, the Südwandhütte and the Silberkarklamm. Other highlights include the Duisitzkarsee lake in Obertal, the Giglachseen lakes near the Ursprungalm, the Wilde-Wasser themed trail to the Riesach waterfall and on to the Riesachsee lake and the Kotalm. The Spiegelsee lake on the Reiteralm and the Styrian Lake Constance are also very famous.
Summit bliss on the Dachstein Glacier
Experience the Dachstein with its spectacular views and real highlights such as the suspension bridge, the ‘Stairway to Nothingness’, the Sky Staircase and the fascinating Ice Palace. From the mountain station, you can also set off on a variety of climbing and mountain tours – depending on how athletic you want to be. A trip to the glacier is guaranteed to be unforgettable and will provide you with special moments that you will not soon forget.
Your adventure for the whole family
The Sattelberg mountain is located near us. On the children's nature trail, young hikers are motivated to walk from one exciting station to the next. A real family programme awaits you on the Rittisberg: you can whizz down into the valley on the Rittisberg Coaster, there are lovingly designed interactive stations along the Fairy Tale Trail (approx. 2.5 km), and those who like action can float through the treetops on the Flyline or try out the forest high ropes course – and to cool off, there's the ‘Ramsau Beach’ leisure park.
